Drying of agricultural products
In the dryer sector, according to SCooPE Projects (European project in charge of analysing the energy expenditure in cooperatives), the energy used within the cereal drying phase (example of product to be dried) is as follows:
As can be seen, 72% of the energy used corresponds to the drying phase, which includes both electrical energy and thermal energy (gas).
Knowing that each cooperative or company has its own particularities and priorities, it is an obligation for the companies dedicated to energy efficiency to adapt to each case, there being no standardization in the sector in the drying methods.
That is why we are visiting companies in the sector with numerous systems, of multiple dimensions and totally different modes of operation. But almost all of them have something in common, the need for hot air at different temperatures.
That’s why preheating the air used in the drying process can be a cost-effective and efficient option, reducing both your financial expense and the carbon footprint of your product.
Iaxxon Energía has developed an air pre-drying system capable of satisfying most of the demands of the sector’s dryers, since we do not interfere in the drying process, but rather preheat the air (thus decreasing its relative humidity), thus achieving that the boiler works at a lower power and therefore less energy consumption.
How does it work?
Iaxxon Energía provides the necessary air preheating to your production process either in hot air or drying processes, making these processes more profitable and sustainable
The process of air preheating in the Iaxxon Energia collectors is as follows:
Initial filter: The outside air can pass through if the client requests an initial filter, eliminating the impurities that the client determines.
Solar collectors: The outside air already purified will be introduced in the Iaxxon energy solar collectors crossing the solar field. In this step it is where the rise of temperature and the decrease of its relative humidity takes place.
Transport ducts: At the outlet of the collectors, this hot and dry air will optionally pass through a fan that forces the current and provides the flow demanded by the boiler.
The insulated ducts will transport the hot air from the outlet of the collectors to the exchanger or the existing system to heat the air entering the dryer.
The savings are made at this point. When the preheated air reaches the boiler. The boiler will need less energy to make the thermal jump to the air that your dryer needs.

Campo de Tejada and Iaxxon Energia develop a more efficient solar oven
The Campo de Tejada Cooperative, a referent of the Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) Garbanzo de Escacena, is testing a solar oven with the aim of gaining efficiency in the heating process for the “hygienization” of its production, which is necessary due to the reduction of the use of phytosanitary products in the cultivation, but also to put in the market some food of the highest quality “even more ecological”.
The tests are carried out with an innovative technology devised by the company Iaxxon Energy, promoted by two young entrepreneurs, which uses air as a heat carrier instead of water.
In the same line, Campo de Tejada Cooperative also values the possibility of using this technology for the drying of the cereal. In this case, it would be a matter of adapting a building with the implementation of a system of grids on the floor from which hot air would be supplied to keep the environment at a stable temperature, throughout the year, between 20 and 30 degrees centigrade.
This, they say, would solve the problem of climate, especially in the coldest and wettest months and would also save the time and effort required by the traditional open-air process.

Andalucía Emprende Awards
The Sevillian companies Iaxxon Energía and Opentherapi win the provincial final of the Andalucía Emprende Awards..
A psychological consultation at a click –Opentherapi– and an efficient and revolutionary solar thermal technology –Iaxxon Energía– will be the projects that will compete in the regional final.
A total of 50 companies from the province, which are supervised by the Andalusian Centers for Entrepreneurship (CADE), have presented their candidacy for the fifth provincial edition of the Andalucía Emprende Awards in which Vodafone, Unicaja and Extenda are collaborating. Of these 50 have been selected 10 finalists, 5 in the category “Creation”, for recently established companies, with a maximum business career of three years, and another five in “Consolidation“, for those who have between three and seven years of life, have attended the remaining seven.
Opentherapi, based in the capital, was the winner in the “Creation” category. It offers the psychologist a comprehensive service for the development of online psychological therapy. Its web platform allows professionals to create their own virtual consultation with a single click, having access to a wide range of tools that will facilitate the management and care of their patients online. All this is encrypted and totally secure to guarantee the total privacy of the therapeutic relationship.
On the other hand, Iaxxon Energía, winner in the category “Consolidation” and located in the municipality of Benacazón, is dedicated to the manufacture of a type of flat solar collector for air heating, with a particular design that gives it a high energy efficiency. This type of collector is an important boost to the development of solar thermal air heating technology, whose objective is to contribute to the sustainable development of society, reducing the consumption of conventional energy and polluting emissions thanks to the efficient use of solar resources. It is patented.
The delegate of Economy, Innovation, Science and Employment of Seville, Juan Borrego, and the provincial director of Andalucía Emprende, Isabel Agüera, have delivered this Friday the awards to “Opentherapi” and “Iaxxon Energía“. Both companies will now move on to the regional phase of the competition.

The Iaxxon system for greenhouses
GREENHOUSE HEATING. Ecology, economy and innovation
In the greenhouse agriculture sector, there is a remarkable interest on the part of professionals in increasing the hygiene parameters of cultivated products.
Within this, the temperature and ventilation of the enclosure represents a factor to be taken into consideration for greenhouse crops. It is common to find in these farms heating systems that improve the environmental and thermal quality of the facilities.
Likewise, it is also remarkable the awareness that the sector shows with and for the natural environment, adopting environmental measures increasingly demanding and efficient to help improve the operation and the environment.
In order to respond to these two needs, IAXXON Energia has developed a specific product for greenhouses that promises to be an indispensable element for those crops that require an exhaustive control of the relative humidity inside the installation. The novelty of the IAXXON Energy System lies in the decrease of the environmental relative humidity of the greenhouse thanks to a mixed system between the system’s own fans and fully automated axial fans, providing the control of humidity and temperature inside the greenhouse.
The installations developed by IAXXON Energía are adapted to each greenhouse as a tailor-made suit, since we implement our technology according to the customer’s needs and the size of the farm.
How IAXXON greenhouses work
IAXXON greenhouses is the only product capable of offering you, in the same installation, heating, ventilation and hot water. The operation is based on the interaction of the installation, which consists of two types of fans: axial and centrifugal.
The function of the axial fans is to control the absolute humidity present in the greenhouse, introducing or expelling air.
The centrifugal fans are incorporated into the circuit of the solar collectors, thus achieving the introduction of heated air thanks to the thermal jump provided by the IAXXON patented collectors, reducing the relative humidity inside the greenhouse, as well as a homogeneous diffusion of air inside the enclosure.
In the same way, the IAXXON Energy System provides homogeneous air extraction through its ducts, avoiding the difference between the center and the sides of the greenhouse. In addition to the above, the system provides hot water to your farm, thanks to the Water-Air exchanger that we have developed, which can be stored in tanks that will provide hot water to the operation.
Advantages of IAXXON greenhouse heating:
- Efficient and cost-effective heating.
- Constant hot and dry air.
- Decrease of the environmental humidity at the same time that an increase of temperature is provided.
- Forced ventilation included in the installation.
- Reduction of heat loss by reducing condensation in the greenhouse enclosure.
- The controlled environmental humidity reduces the effects of fungal diseases.
- The thermal stability of the crops is improved and the evapotranspiration is compensated.
- Powered by clean and renewable sources.
- Possibility of integration to other conventional systems.
- Minimum maintenance costs and low life cycle costs.
